Koda offers space for curious music lovers who want to enjoy innovative music in peace and quiet. \n~~~~~ \nJim van de Klundert (1998) is a Dutch jazz guitarist and composer with an authentic\, lyrical playing style rooted in the jazz tradition. \nHis love for music began at the age of twelve\, when he was captivated by the playing of a fingerstyle guitarist. His passion for jazz developed a few years later\, when he first heard the music of Django Reinhardt. This opened the door to the great figures in the history of jazz. Saxophonist John Coltrane\, in particular\, made a deep impression on him and remains a major source of inspiration to this day. \nIn his early years as a musician\, he won the Seabottom Jazz Talent Award two years in a row and performed at the festival of the same name in 2016 and 2017. DESCRIPTION:Tempo Sud is an afternoon to celebrate the folk music traditions of Spain\, Italy and Greece\, with a wink to Latin American sonorities. Close your eyes and let the live music of Pakita y Pon and Calamari transport you to warmer places filled with charm\, humor\, and tradition: a celebration of the beauty of everyday life. \nPakita y Pon\nPakita y Pon is a musical group born from an interest in Spanish Folk traditions. This project began as a duo with Janire (vocals\, horn) and Carolina (guitar\, vocals) but quickly expanded when María joined as a percussionist. Her addition completed the lineup and brought new rhythmic layers and dynamics to the group’s sound.  Their repertoire includes boleros and Spanish folklore songs\, combining these melodies with playful narratives. The name Pakita y Pon is a wordplay that combines the Spanish phrase “de quita y pon” (meaning removable or interchangeable) with the very common Spanish lady name Paquita\, symbolizing the flexibility and adaptability of their musical approach to folk. More than just a name\, it represents the essence of the group! \nCalamari\nSince 2020 Calamari proposes a guitar and voice journey into music of South America\, Southern Italy and Greece\, exploring their connections and creating new ones. From bolero to posteggia\, bossa to rebetiko\, they will drive you through lost and found love\, heartaches and happy endings to cry\, drink and smile.\nBesides traditional compositions\, Manolis (Cretan) and Francesco (Italo-Venezuelan) they also propose a few original pieces inspired by the same soundscape. DESCRIPTION:Transambient Tapes invites you on a musical journey along the old Silk Road\, highlighting ambient musicians from Turkey to India. Many of the countries we’ll explore are often overshadowed by European and American music\, despite being home to a wealth of creative talent. \nEach music scene along this route faces its own local challenges. In this session\, we’ll sketch the cultural backgrounds of ten artists and dive into their sound worlds together. And with a bit of luck\, we’ll also be able to premiere the very first album release on the Transambient Tapes label. \nThe evening is hosted by Martijn de Vos\, founder of Transambient Tapes\, who traveled overland from the Netherlands to India between 2022 and 2024. During this journey he met all ten artists in person and spoke with them about their music and their scenes.
